BELLEVUE-The North Platte High School girls' basketball team saw its season come to an end on Tuesday night with a 42-39 loss to Lincoln Southeast in the district semifinals.
The Lady Bulldogs end the season with a record of 14-11. It's the team's first winning record since they went 17-6 four years ago.
The game on Tuesday between NPHS and Southeast (14-10) saw the two teams go down to the wire just like they had on Jan. 31 when Brooke Lattimer banked in a three-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Knights to a 54-53 victory at the Dawg House.
Lincoln Southeast, who won the state championship a year ago but is rebuilding after the transfer of Nebraska recruit Jess Shepard to Fremont, will play Bellevue West for the A-1 district championship on Feb. 27.
