Five inches of snow fell Saturday night and Sunday, accompanied by strong winds, and the low early Monday morning dropped to 5 degrees.

The sun shone for a couple hours Monday afternoon, but clouds moved back in, ushering another possible round of snow that might last through Tuesday, the weather service said.

The forecast calls for a low of 9 degrees Monday night with north winds gusting to 25 mph, driving the wind chill to 2 below.

Winds will continue to blow Wednesday and wind-chills could drop to 16 below or lower through Wednesday, the weather service said.

The high temp will reach near 30 Thursday, then fall back, staying in the teens through Monday, with a high around 13 on both Saturday and Sunday, the weather service said.

More snow is possible on Thursday-Monday.

The average daily termperature has been colder than normal for 14 of the last 23 days, averaging nearly 7 degrees below normal, the weather service says.
