Around 6 p.m. Saturday, police were contacted by the parents of a 15-year-old girl who reported their daughter was sexually assaulted.

During the investigation, police determined that two 15-year-old victims were allegedly sexually assaulted by Johnathon Hernandez, 21, on Friday evening and again on Saturday afternoon.

Also, Hernandez had an unrelated warrant for his arrest for third-degree domestic assault in Dawson County.  Officers arrested him on the outstanding warrant, and police found probable cause to arrest Hernandez for first-degree sexual assault - sodomy.

The investigation is still in progress, according to a police spokesman. Hernandez is held on $50,000 bond.

Strand arrested

At about 11 a.m. Sunday, police received information that Sheena Strand was staying in a motel room in the 800 block of So. Dewey.

Strand was wanted on three active Lincoln County arrest warrants, two for escape and one for possession of methamphetamine, according to the North Platte police.

All three charges were pending in Lincoln County District Court, but Strand failed to appear before the court on Feb. 3, resulting in the issuance of the warrants.

She is currently incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center, held without bond.
