The lead expanded to double figures when Mayfield tipped in an alley-oop to make it 15-4 with a little under two minutes left in the first quarter.

Cory Clinch then got a three-point play with 21 seconds left in the quarter to end the 10-0 run for St. Pat's before Marcus Miller hit a three-pointer for Maxwell (2-13) to close the first.
