Lincoln County 4-H members Morgan Hansen and Eleanor Aufdenkamp recently represented 4-H at the National Healthy Living Summit in Washington D.C.

They traveled with four other Nebraska youth and two University of Nebraska Extension staff to the summit, Jan. 8-12.

The program builds youth-adult partnerships to implement a food smart program to expand outreach to under-served youth and families, improving nutrition, cooking techniques and food budget management knowledge and skills.

Hansen is the daughter of Eric and Jill Hansen and Aufdenkamp is the daughter of Brent and Brenda Aufdenkamp, all of North Platte.
