The Hershey girls improved their season record to 12-1 Tuesday, defeating rival Sutherland 53-46 with a strong third quarter.
Hershey got off to the best start, staking out an 11-4 lead after one quarter. But Sutherland came back in the second quarter to within two points at halftime.
In the third quarter, Hershey outscored Sutherland 14-9.
The teams played evenly in the final stanza.
Tayler Baker scored 16 points to lead Hershey's offense.
Allison Stewart had 15 points for Sutherland on perfect 5 of 5 shooting from three point range. Kaley Stokey chipped in 10 for Sutherland, including two three pointers. Sam Staggs had trouble getting on track, hitting only 1 of 8 from two point range.
The Sailors did not shoot well inside but hit a blistering 63 percent from three-point land.
Sutherland's record is now 7-4.
