Joshua J. Malsbury

On Friday, Joshua Malsbury, 24, was charged with possession of heroin and bupreorphine after a Nebraska State Patrol lab test of drug paraphernalia was complete.

The paraphernalia was discovered and seized from Malsbury’s vehicle during a traffic stop in September.

Malsbury was previously arrested in late December after test results were positive for both cocaine and methamphetamine, Police Information Officer Rodney Brown said at the time.

According to sheriff’s records, Malsbury served 12 days in jail and was released Jan. 2 on $1,500 bond (10% of $15,000.)

This time, bond is set at $10,000.

Buprenorphine is used to treat opioid addiction in higher dosages and control pain in lower dosages, according to the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia.

Brown said the paraphernalia items were found during a voluntary search of the vehicle.
