Aiden Mann won the age 12-13 boys division Saturday in the Elk's Hoop Shoot, defeating Kiya Kramer.

Mann hit 16 of 25 shots in regulation to post the best score of the day. He finished one point ahead of Kramer.

Seventy-eight boys and girls participated in the annual contest. Winners will proceed to district competition on Jan. 26 in Cozad.

District winners will advance to state competition in York, and state winners proceed to regional and eventually, national competition in Springfield, Mass.

The North Platte results:

8-9 Girls - Tonja Heirigs 11-25. Jaycee Hipwell 11-25. (Heirigs won tiebreaker.)

10-11 Girls - Gracie Haneborg 15-25. Boston Boucher of Maxwell 15-25. (Haneborg won tiebreaker.)

12-13 Girls - Janie Sommer of Maxwell 12-25. Jaden King 12-25. (Sommer won tiebreaker.)

8-9 Boys - Lance Gifford 15-25. Jesse Mauch 14-25.

10-11 Boys - Steven Garcia, Jr. 14-25. Colt Shannon 13-25.

12-13 Boys - Aiden Mann 16-25. Kiya Kramer 15-25.

The top finishers above were from North Platte unless otherwise noted.
