North Platte St. Pat's breezed through Hayes Center on Tuesday with a 60-22 win over the Lady Cardinals at the McGahan Activities Center.
"We had a good start," Lady Irish coach Nathan Stienike said. "We played good defense in the first quarter. We did a good job with our offensive rebounding and we got good looks."
St. Pat's (7-2) proved to be too much for Hayes Center (3-6) from the opening tip. The Irish led 22-3 at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Irish could have scored just one basket in the final three quarters and they still would have won the game. But St. Pat's just kept pouring it on. The halftime score was 39-12 and then 50-17 at the end of the third.
