St. Pat's capital campaign: Nearly $2 million Tell North Platte what you think

The North Platte Catholic schools' Forward in Faith fundraising campaign has just under $2 million, Endowment Director Wendy Dodson told the school board Dec. 17.

Dodson said the working goal is $2.5 million.

She said that there are adequate funds in hand to cover the costs of the first phase of the project, replacing the roof of the St. Patís High School building.

The board also heard a presentation from architect Stephen Granger regarding preliminary plans for a remodeling of the front entryway, also part of the Forward in Faith campaign.

Superintendent Kevin Dodson asked the board to approve an incremental salary increase for the upcoming fiscal year and the board unanimously agreed.

Dodson also informed the board of one known teaching vacancy for the 2014-15 school year.

School was dismissed for the Christmas break at noon Dec. 20 and classes resume on Jan. 6.

The next school board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the St. Patís High School library.
