Nominations wanted for best Yuletide YardsTell North Platte what you think
 

Nominations will be accepted until Dec. 12 in the annual Yuletide Yards contest, sponsored by Keep North Platte & Lincoln County Beautiful and KELN radio.

Awards will be given to homeowners with the most festive yards.

One winner will be selected in each of the four city wards as well as one within 10 miles of North Platte. Judging will be based on curb appeal, balance, theme, and maintenance.

Winners from the past four years are not eligible.

Nominations can be submitted online at keepnorthplattebeautiful.org or by email at knplcb@yahoo.com or by calling the KNPLCB office at 534-8100.

Submit the address, a brief description of the display and any other direction that might assist in locating the property. You do not need the homeowner’s name that you’re nominating.

Please feel free to nominate your own home.

KELN Radio will donate $50 in each winner’s name to the charity of his or her choice during a special banquet. Winners will be announced December 17.

An awards presentation will be held at the Quality Inn and Suites at 6 p.m. on Dec. 19. Appetizers and drinks will be served.
