BB: Irish girls defeat SutherlandTell North Platte what you think
 

The St. Patrick's girls basketball team defeated Sutherland Saturday in an early-season showdown of two highly-regarded teams.

The Irish won by four points, 34-30.

The game was tied at halftime but St. Pat's managed to climb ahead in the second half. Neither team scored much in the third period. St. Pat's was two-points better in both the third and fourth quarters.

Anna O'Malley scored 14 points to lead the Irish offense.

Sam Staggs scored 13 for Sutherland.

St. Pat's: 10-12-4-8 - 34

Sutherland: 12-10-2-6 - 30
