• Cody Park (1400 North Jeffers) - Santa's workshop. Hay rides, visit Santa (bring your own camera). No charge. Reasonably priced concessions. Tuesday-Friday 6-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 4-9 p.m.


Thursday, Dec. 5

• North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd.) - "Godspell" continues. Songs by NPCC students. 8-10 p.m. $10 for students, $5 for seniors.

• Downtown, (Indoors due to cold weather) Neville Center for the Performing Arts (301 E. 5th) - Christmas Lighting ceremony. 6:30-7 p.m., photos with Santa, horse drawn rides 7-8 p.m.


Friday, Dec. 6

• Harvest Christian Fellowship NW campus (2607 Rodeo Rd.) - Donna's dinner. Free holiday dinner for the community. 2-8 p.m. Free-will donations.

• North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd.) - "Godspell" continues. Songs by NPCC students. 8-10 p.m. $10 for students, $5 for seniors.


Saturday, Dec. 7

• Holiday Inn & Express (300 Holiday Frontage Rd.) - Holiday craft and vendor show. 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

• North Platte Recreation Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) - Nick of Time craft show. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

• First United Methodist Church (1600 West E) annual craft fair, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

• North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd.) - "Godspell" concludes. Songs by NPCC students. 2 p.m. $10 for students, $5 for seniors.

• Eagles Club - Dance to the Gary Phipps Show. Public welcome. Starts 7 p.m. $5 cover.

• Salvation Army (1020 N. Adams) - Breakfast at dinner time with Santa. Pancakes eggs and sausage served and visit with Santa. $15 per family. $3 off with donation of canned goods. 5-6 p.m.

• North Platte High School Performing Arts Center (1220 W. 2nd) - A Christmas United. North Platte High School Blue and Gold Choir, Job, Peter and Chuck and other musicians to perform. 7 p.m. $10 for adults. $5 for students. 6 and under free.


Sunday, Dec. 8

• Neville Center for the Performing Arts (Fox theater downtown Fifth and Bailey) - Christmas concert by the Heartland Singers. 3 p.m. Free will donations. Proceeds benefit the Santa Cop program.

• North Platte Recreation Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) - Nick of Time craft show. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

• Eagles Club - Soup supper fundraiser for Paws-itive Partners. 5-7 p.m. 8 soups from North Platte restaurants, plus salad, bread, desserts. Freewill donation. Open to public.


Tuesday, Dec. 10

• North Platte Community College South Campus (601 West State Farm Rd.) - Visit with Santa, decorate cookies, crafts. 6 p.m. Admission is one canned good item.


Wednesday, Dec. 11

• North Platte Senior Center (900 E. 10th) - Dance to Lou Kraus, 7:30-9:30 p.m. $4. Bring finger food.


Thursday, Dec. 12

• Espresso Shoppe (419 N. Dewey) - Cooking and ornament decorating. 3-5 p.m.

• Nebraskaland National Bank (downtown) - Santa's Reindeer, 3:30-5 p.m.

• Downtown – Annual Christmas parade of lights. 5-6 p.m.

• First Baptist Church (100 McDonald Rd.) - Living Christmas Tree. 7-8 p.m.


Friday, Dec. 13

• A to Z Books - 7-10:30 p.m. Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

• First Baptist Church (100 McDonald Rd.) - Living Christmas Tree. 7-8 p.m.

• North Platte Area Children's Museum (314 N. Jeffers) - Family movie night featuring "Rise of the Guardians." 6:30 p.m. Free for members. $4 for non-members.

• Depot (520 N. Jeffers) – Business after hours. Socializing, food, refreshments. 5-7 p.m. $1 admission and business card.


Saturday, Dec. 14

• North Platte Recreation Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) - Jingle Bell Run 5K and children's mile. 9:30 p.m. $20. (moved from Dec. 7 because of weather.)

• First Baptist Church (100 McDonald Rd.) - Living Christmas Tree. 7-8 p.m.

• VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. 4th) - Dance to Ray Mullen. 7-10 p.m. Open to public. Freewill donation.

• The Depot restaurant - Acoustic swing music from Blue Swing in the dining room. 6-8 p.m. Followed by Christmas piano music by Robert Martinson II.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) - Live music featuring the Red Dirt country rock of Cody Canada and The Departed. Starts 9 p.m. Cover charge.

• Eagles Club - Annual Christmas dance. Live music by Gary Phipps. Public welcome. Bring finger food. Gift exchange for everyone; a woman buys for a woman and a man buys for a man. $10 limit on gifts. Starts 7 p.m. $5 cover.

• VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. 4th) - Dance to Ray Mullen country. 7-midnight. $5.

• Eagles Club - New Year's Eve dinner & dance with the Gary Phipps Show. Public welcome. Dinner 6-8 p.m. Dance 9-new year. Hats, horns and champagne. Buy advance tickets by noon Dec. 31. $60/couple (dinner only $40/couple, dance only $20/couple.)
