Sunday, Dec. 1

• Quality Inn and Suites – Festival of Trees concludes. Auction to sell the trees and wreaths will be held at 4 pm.


Monday, Dec. 2

• Neville Center for the Performing Arts, 301 E. 5th St. – Concert by international pianist Ann Chang. 7:30–9:30 p.m. Admission by membership in the North Platte Concert Series.


Wednesday, Dec. 4

• Cody Park (1400 North Jeffers) - Opening ceremony for Christmas season. Major's Lighting of the North Pole at 6 p.m. with songs by the NPHS choir. Hay rides from 6-9 p.m. Visit Santa (bring your own camera). No charge. Reasonably priced concessions.

• Golden Spike (1249 N. Homestead Rd.) - Golden Spike Holiday Open House. Watch the sunset from the top of the Spike. Complimentary tour, refreshments, giveaways, discount at the gift shop. 4-7 p.m.

• North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd.) - Musical performance "Godspell." Songs by NPCC students. 8-10 p.m. $10 for students, $5 for seniors.


Thursday, Dec. 5

• North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd.) - "Godspell" continues. Songs by NPCC students. 8-10 p.m. $10 for students, $5 for seniors.


Friday, Dec. 6

• Harvest Christian Fellowship NW campus (2607 Rodeo Rd.) - Donna's dinner. Free holiday dinner for the community. 2-8 p.m. Free-will donations.

• North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd.) - "Godspell" continues. Songs by NPCC students. 8-10 p.m. $10 for students, $5 for seniors.


Saturday, Dec. 7

• Holiday Inn & Express (300 Holiday Frontage Rd.) - The Ultimate Holiday Craft and Vendor Show. Homemade crafts, businesses. 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

• North Platte Recreation Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) - Nick of Time Craft Show. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

• First United Methodist Church (1600 West E) annual Craft Fair, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

• North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd.) - "Godspell" concludes. Songs by NPCC students. 8-10 p.m. $10 for students, $5 for seniors.

• North Platte Recreation Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) - Jingle Bell Run 5K and children's mile. 9:30 p.m. $20.

• Eagles Club - Dance to the Gary Phipps Show. Public welcome. Starts 7 p.m. $5 co er.

• Neville Center for Performing Arts (Fox theater downtown Fifth and Bailey) - Christmas concert by the Heartland Singers. 3 p.m. Free will donations. Proceeds benefit the Santa Cop program.

• North Platte Recreation Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) - Nick of Time craft show. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

• Eagles Club - Soup supper fundraiser for Paws-itive Partners. 5-7 p.m. 8 soups from North Platte restaurants, plus salad, bread, desserts. Freewill donation. Open to public.


Thursday, Dec. 12

• Espresso Shoppe (419 N. Dewey) - Cooking and ornament decorating. 3-5 p.m.

• Nebraskaland National Bank (downtown) - Santa's Reindeer, 3:30-5 p.m.

• Downtown – Annual Christmas parade of lights. 5-6 p.m.

• First Baptist Church (100 McDonald Rd.) - Living Christmas Tree. 7-8 p.m.


Friday, Dec. 13

• A to Z Books - 7-10:30 p.m. Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

• North Platte Area Children's Museum (314 N. Jeffers) - Family movie night featuring "Rise of the Guardians." 6:30 p.m. Free for members. $4 for non-members.


Saturday, Dec. 14

• First Baptist Church (100 McDonald Rd.) - Living Christmas Tree. 7-8 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) - Live music featuring the Red Dirt country rock of Cody Canada and The Departed. Starts 9 p.m. Cover charge.


Tuesday, Dec. 19

• Buffalo Bill State Historical Park - Christmas at the Cody's begins. (Tues.-Fri., Dec. 19-22.) Christmas trees on display throughout the house. Hayrack rides, roasted chestnuts and refreshments. Opening night is military night; servicemen and women get in free with military ID. $8 for adults. Children 12 and under free.


Wednesday, Dec. 20

• Buffalo Bill State Historical Park - Christmas at the Cody's. Christmas trees on display throughout the house. Hayrack rides, roasted chestnuts and refreshments. $8 for adults. Children 12 and under free.


Thursday, Dec. 21

• Eagles Club - Annual Christmas dance. Live music by Gary Phipps. Public welcome. Bring finger food. Gift exchange for everyone; a woman buys for a woman and a man buys for a man. $10 limit on gifts. Starts 7 p.m. $5 cover.
