NebraskaLand National Bank is again awarded an “excellent financial strength” rating from Weiss Rating, a leading independent national provider of research and analysis for banks and other places to invest. NebraskaLand National Bank as a “Weiss Recommended” bank, offering outstanding financial stability for its customers, vendors and employees, Nebraskaland Bank President and CEO Mike Jacobson said.
"Achieving this Weiss Financial Strength Rating is a true distinction," Jacobson said in a prepared statement.
Every quarter of the year, Weiss Ratings evaluates the financial strength of more than 19,000 institutions. The ratings are set after analyzing hundreds of factors that are synthesized into five indexes -- capitalization, asset quality, profitability, liquidity and stability.
The ratings are an unbiased opinion of the financial safety now and in the future, Weiss says on its website.
For the most part the ratings are derived from quarterly financial statements filed with federal regulators.
A company that receives a Weiss financial strength rating is among the industry’s elite, Jacobson said.
“Our customers can continue to count on us to provide a safe place to invest their hard earned savings while also enjoying above market returns,” he said.
