Police arrested another North Platte woman Tuesday on meth charges after long-awaited lab tests results were provided.

Catrina Lopez, 31, was arrested in the 200 block of S. Cottonwood, a police spokesman said.

The investigation began in April, when police found a syringe that allegedly belonged to Lopez while searching a room at the Blue Spruce motel. The syringe was sent to a lab for positive testing, and the results recently came back showing it contained methamphetamine.

Lopez is charged with possession of a controlled substance. She has prior amphetamine possession charges in 2004-05, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s records.
