Cassell, 34, is charged with robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony, burglary and terroristic threats.

At 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 800 block of No. Jackson to investigate a reported robbery.

Two victims said they were inside the home when they heard pounding on the front door. They answered the door but nobody was there. A short time later they heard pounding on the back door, according to the police report.

Before they could answer the back door, it was forced open and two men entered. One held a handgun and pointed it at the men. The other reportedly had some sort of club or baton, the victims told police.

The suspects demanded property, specifically a safe. The victims said there was no safe in the home. At one point, the man with the handgun allegedly put the gun against one of the victimís head and demanded the safe, police spokesman John Deal said.

However, when no safe was found, the suspects took less than $500 in cash from both victims along with some other property and left.

Police were called a short time later. One of the victims said that Jim Bob Cassell was the man with the handgun. The two of them were roommates at one point in time, Deal said.

Police found Cassell the next day and arrested him.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.

In court Friday, Cassell requested a public defender and bond was set at $250,000.
