State volleyball: Bruning-Davenport-Shickley over BradyTell North Platte what you think

GRAND ISLAND-After losing the first set, Bruning-Davenport-Shickley dominated the next three sets to defeat Brady in the first round of the Class D1 state tournament at Grand Island Central Catholic High School.

Brady finishes with a record of 23-7. BDS (29-3) moves on to the semifinals where they will play Howells-Dodge.

Brady won the first set 25-16. But BDS controlled the next three by scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-16.

Freshman Tara Callahan led Brady with seven kills. Madison Elliott had six and Josie Palmer had five.

Alexis Mann had 15 set assists for the Eagles. Elliott and Sydney Widick also had 10.

Christina Swartzendruber led BDS with 13 kills and Jaycie Hoins had 27 set assists.
