At around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, police received information that a wanted man, Mark Ramos, 29, was at a home in the 1900 block of West 15th in North Platte.

Police were looking for Ramos for violation of federal probation.

The homeowner, Rosa Quintero, 29, told officers that Ramos was not inside the home but she allowed the officers inside, and they found Ramos hiding in a dryer, at which time he was arrested and jailed.

Ramos is also wanted for two charges in Lancaster County and for an assault on Nov. 8 in North Platte. A 23 year old man told the police that Ramos came to his home in the 2100 block of West 16th and assaulted him. Investigators found probable cause to charge Ramos at the time, but were unable to find him, Police Spokesman Rodney Brown said.

A further search of Quintero’s home turned up glass pipes and small self-seal, plastic baggies containing powder residue that was methamphetamine, according to field tests. Quintero was also arrested, charged with possession of methamphetamine and accessory to a felony/harboring a fugitive.
