Working toward a new city website, city officials are considering three appearances that they want you to see.

Information Systems Director Les Green showed the new designs to the city council Tuesday at a work session.

Green said that after initial feedback from a city website development team, modifications to the draft layouts are complete.

The city has collaborated with Maly Marketing of Lincoln to produce the templates for the new site. Menus, images and functionality will likely change before the site is ready, but the overall look and feel of the website will closely resemble the templates, he said.

Green seeks more feedback.

The existing city site carries the proposed templates, and allow people to vote for their favorite new appearance. All three templates are displayed. People can comment as well as vote.

“The new website not only represents the local government of North Platte, but is our main presence on the internet for the city as a whole. The results of the survey will be a deciding factor in the look of our new website,” Mayor Dwight Livingston said.
