Drunk driver makes stop at state patrol headquartersTell North Platte what you think

A Scottsbluff man made it easy for state troopers to arrest him Wednesday afternoon -- he drove up the headquarters in Scottsbluff and tried to open the door.

Levi M. Schwartzkopf, 42, had some unspecified business at the Troop E headquarters, NSP spokeswoman Deb Collins said.

He drove in, parked his 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup into the parking lot, got out and tried to use the employee's entrance.

A trooper who answered the noise detected the odor of alcohol and arrested Schwartzkopf, charging him with driving while intoxicated, Collins said.
