A silent auction will be held Nov. 2-3 for the Shawn and Laura Davis family of North Platte, who are dealing with Shawn's terminal illness.

Shawn has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He and Laura have three daughters.

The silent action will be part of the annual Cowboy Christmas Gift Show at the D & N Event Center, organized by Shelli Arensdorf.

Shawn has worked for Cabela’s for 26 years. He was the first site manager at the Cabela’s call center in North Platte, a multi-site manager of product information, a CRMS case manager and he also helped establish a Cabela’s call center in Canada.

Arensdorf said silent auction bids will be accepted at the annual show until 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3.

“Be sure to stop out and help raise lots of money for the Davis family,” she said.
