North Platte St. Pat's rocked Dundy County-Stratton 55-6 on Friday night at Knights of Columbus Field.
On the opening kickoff, Drew McClellen fielded a squib kick and ran it back 73 yards for a touchdown to get things started for the Irish (7-0).
The St. Pat's defense then held Dundy County (1-6) to a three and out. The Irish took over at the Tiger 27 after the punt.
On St. Pats' first play from scrimmage, quarterback Alex Harms found Andrew O'Neill for a touchdown and the rout was on.
The Irish held Dundy County then held Dundy County to another three and out and on their next drive, Collin Pieper scored a three yard touchdown on first and goal with a little over six minutes left in the first quarter.
St. Pat's scored another touchdown in the first, a 10 yard run by Chase Kimberling where the fullback was escorted to the end zone for the last five yards.
Pieper scored another touchdown 14 seconds into the second quarter to put the Irish up 35-0.
The Tigers finally answered back with a score of their own when Kyle Rotherham threw a screen pass to Tyrell Reichert, who took it in from 47 yards out.
But on the ensuing kickoff, McClellen fielded another short kick from Dundy County, went to his right and found daylight for another kick return for a touchdown.
The Irish started putting in their reserves after the second McClellen touchdown and they scored two more touchdowns to finish the game.
