Two men injured in rural wreckTell North Platte what you think

Two men were injured early Tuesday morning in a pickup wreck on a rural road in southern Lincoln County.

Around 2 a.m., Lincoln County sheriff's deputies received a report of an injury accident on South Cut Creek Road, about a mile north of the Frontier County Line.

Upon arrival it was learned that a Red 1995 Chevrolet 2500 Pickup was southbound on South Cut Creek Road. The vehicle went out of control and hit a large cottonwood tree on the east side of the road.

Deputies found there were two occupants in the vehicle; 20-year-old Jack M. Perdue of Cambridge and 19-year-old Tayler G. Jensen of Parks.

Both men suffered facial lacerations and multitude of injuries and were taken by ambulance to Great Plains Regional Medical Center.

They were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.

Deputies also found alcohol in the vehicle and believe that both men were drinking before the accident.

Jensen said that Perdue was very intoxicated and driving when he lost control and hit the tree. But, Perdue said he was not driving.

Perdue suffered the worst injuries, according to the sheriff's office.

The cause is still under investigation. The accident will be reviewed by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstructionist to determine who the driver was and the speed the pickup was traveling.
