Around 2:30 a.m. Monday, police went to the Majic Spray Car Wash at 1302 S. Chestnut in investigate a report of two men trying to force their way into the office of the car wash.

Officers found the doorway was damaged, consistent with someone trying to force the door open, police spokesman Rodney Brown said.

Police looked for the suspects and found one of them, Robert Saaverda, 22, inside Wal-Mart. Brown said the other, Jackson Nelson, 28, was at their home in the 800 block of So. Chestnut.

Nelson and Saaverda were jailed. Each of them are charged with attempted burglary, a felony.
