FB: Hershey 30, Bayard 6Tell North Platte what you think

HERSHEY-Hershey stayed undefeated on Friday night after smashing Bayard 30-6 at Summers Field.

It was another stellar defensive effort for the Panthers (5-0) as the only touchdown Bayard (2-3) had came on a kick return.

"I really enjoy watching our kids play defense and would not enjoy trying to call plays against them,"Hershey coach Ryan Smith said. "Our defensive line sets the tone, our linebackers are fast, aggressive, and physical. Our secondary has played some really solid football all year long."

Hershey also had a big game offensively, as well, by putting up over 400 yards of total offense. The Panthers got most of those yards on the ground. Gaige Marshall ran for 255 yards on 26 carries.

"Our offensive line, obviously, controlled things up front all night long," Smith said.

Next week, Hershey plays on the road at Dundy County-Stratton, who is 1-4 with their only win coming against Perkins County.

"We're excited to get district play started next week and it will be interesting to see how things play out for us," Smith said.
