Girls' golf: Ogallala wins Hershey InviteTell North Platte what you think
 

SUTHERLAND-Behind the performance of Maaika Mestl, Ogallala won the Hershey Invite on Tuesday at Oregon Trails Golf Course.

Mestl, a junior who finished as the state runner-up in Class C last year, shot a score of 79 to run away with first place.

As a team, Ogallala shot a total of 391. The North Platte High School junior varsity finished in second place with a score of 416.

The Lady Bulldogs JV was led by Courtney Kohl, who finished second behind Mestl at 93 strokes. Morgan Lashley had the second best performance for NPHS with a 98 to finish sixth. Amanda Beall shot 107 to finish in the 13th place.

Dundy County-Stratton and Perkins County finished third and fourth respectively. The host team, Hershey, was fifth.

Samantha Miller was the leading golfer for the Lady Panthers with a score of 99 to finish seventh. Kelsey Sides finished 15th for Hershey with a 110 and Courtney Laubner was 18th with a 114.

Shianne Hoatson, who competed for the Hershey JV, tied with Laubner.
