The Hershey volleyball team won two and lost two Saturday at the Elm Creek Invitational tournament. Southern Valley (4-3) defeated Hershey in the first game, 25-21, 25-23.
“We started slow,” Hershey coach Amy Beyer said. “Hats off to Southern Valley – they are a good solid team.”
The Panthers’ notched a win in the second game, defeating Amherst 25-19, 25-14. Then Hershey downed Cambridge (2-6) in a three-set battle, 25-17, 21-25 and 25-21.
“We struggled passing and serving this weekend, which is frustrating because we work on it so much in practice,” Beyer said.
Even though Hershey went 2-1 in the tournament, Beyer said the team took a step backward overall.
Hershey, a Class C-1 team, is now 4-2 on the season.
