Jana M. Cox, 35, of Gothenburg pled guilty to a reduced charge of driving under the influence of alcohol Friday. The charge was reduced from third offense to first. Cox’s blood alcohol content was 0.09 percent, barely over the maximum legal limit of 0.08 percent.

Before sentencing, Lincoln County Judge Kent Turnbull told Cox that it doesn’t matter to the court who someone knows or is related to, everyone gets treated as an individual. Turnbull referred to Cox’s prior DUI convictions in 2010 and 2011, for but agreed to accept the plea deal from the county attorney.

Turnbull sentenced Cox to six months probation, fined her $500 and revoked her license for 60 days.

Craig Rzonca, 29, of North Platte, accepted a plea deal Friday and pled guilty to 3rd offense driving under the influence of alcohol in Lincoln County Court Sept. 13. A charge of driving under suspension was dropped.

Rzonca was sentenced to 20 months probation, fined $1,000 and his license was suspended for two years.
