First Baptist to open 'Career Closet' Tell North Platte what you think

The First Baptist Church at B and McDonald in North Platte will open a new service to the community at 11 a.m. Monday.

Several Bible study groups from the church have developed a Career Closet to provide free, professional clothing to anyone who is applying for a job, going for a job interview or beginning a new job or promotion.

The Career Closet is housed in a large room in the church basement. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and also from 5-6 p.m. Wednesdays.

The Career Closet will also be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. the first Saturday of each month. In addition, if none of the listed times are convenient, individuals can call Pat at 520-3614 for an appointment.

To qualify for the free outfits, shoppers are asked to bring a referral. This can be a note, business card, flyer or letter signed by a teacher, pastor, supervisor, counselor, etc.

To ensure someone will be there to assist you, please do not call the church or stop at the church other than the hours listed without an appointment.

Those using the closet will remain anonymous and the Closet is open to anyone in Lincoln County or area communities.

Clothing donations are not needed at this time, except in women's sizes 18-20 and larger, and scrubs. Clothing donations must be made by appointment only. Call 520-3614 to set up an appointment or for more information about the Career Closet.

Please use the west doors to enter the waiting area for the Career Closet.
