David Olson of North Platte has already spent the $300 he raised in sales Sunday at the Arts in the Park gathering at Cody Park.

Olson sold laser cut plaques at the 40th annual art and craft fair. He donated all the proceeds to his friend and colleague John Lindenburger, who is suffering from leukemia.

Olson is a mentor in the Community Connections program and Lindenberger was the director of the program before he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in late July.

Lindenberger has been undergoing treatment since and is improving. Family members and friends were encouraged to find Sept. 6 that Lindenbergerís little brother James is a perfect match to donate bone marrow, according to information on caringbridge.org.

An account is established at Adams Bank and Trust in North Platte -- John Lindenberger Benefit.

Lindenberger has a wife Sali and son, John.
