Registrations open for fall photography showTell North Platte what you think

Area photographers are invited to bring in their best photos for this year’s competitive Fall Photography Show in October at the Art and Gift Gallery in downtown North Platte.

The show has five competitive categories: Nature, People, Landscape, Digital Effects, and Open. Entry fees are $50 per each photo submitted, and all photos must be framed and ready to hang using screw eyes and picture wire (no sawtooth hangers, please.)

Photos entered in any previous show at the Art and Gift Gallery are not eligible for this show.

Entries will be accepted during regular gallery hours of 11 a.m.-5 p.m. from Tuesday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Oct. 5.

Ribbons will be awarded in each category. In addition, one photo will be selected the Best of Show, and receive a ribbon plus a $40 cash award.

Visitors are encouraged to see the exhibition from Oct. 8-31 and, as a bonus, the North Platte Woodcarvers will display their woodcarving art concurrently with the Fall Photography Show.

The Art and Gift Gallery, a cooperative of North Platte area artists, is located downtown at 516 N. Dewey with visitor hours of 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday. For more information about the show, call (308) 534-1946 or visit the gallery's website at npartandgiftgallery.com.
