Cross Country: North Platte girls second at CozadTell North Platte what you think

The North Platte girls cross-country team took second and the boys were third on Friday at the Cozad Invitational. Lexington won both divisions.

The Lexington Minutemen boys team outdistanced the field of nine teams by 46 points.

Lexington boys finished 1, 2, 4, 7, and 13.

The best finish for the North Platte boys was Ben Engleman, who finished 14th. Brandon Edwards was 17th. Philip Hammer was 21st and Christian Brandlye was 22nd.

In the girls division, North Platte's Talia Martinez was fourth and Libby Burrows fifth. Lady Dawgs Brooklyn Brinker was 17th and McKenna Miller 20th.

The Lady Dawg team finished just two points behind Lexington.

Odaliz Santoyo of Lexington won the girls race in 19:39., 17 seconds ahead of runner up Molly Sughroue of McCook.

In the boys junior varsity division, Gilbert Seck of North Platte finished second in 19:35.
