At around 1:45 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1000 block of N. Walnut on a report of a possible child abuse. The caller said there had been a loud domestic disturbance at a house, and a 15-year-old boy left the residence with a visible head injury.
When questioned, the boy said that Koby Cooper, 35, had “ran his head into a wall,” causing the injury. He said after an argument between Cooper and him, Cooper began pushing him. Then he slammed his head into a wall inside the house, causing abrasions to the boy’s head and elbow.
The officer determined there was probable cause to arrest Cooper and charge him with felony assault. Cooper’s bond was set at $5,000.
