Rain pounds the pavement on East Fourth, 8:15 p.m. Friday

Severe thunderstorms hit Lincoln County Friday night along a line from nine miles northeast of Hershey to North Platte.

Quarter size hail and heavy rain was part of the storm front, the National Weather Service in North Platte said.

The front was moving northeast at 25 mph.

Locations impacted include North Platte and Maxwell.

The weather service issued a severe storm warning that expired at 9 p.m.
