Friday, Sept. 6

Holiday Inn Express and Suites - Col. Cody Show and Shine car show. Kick off BBQ for participants. Door prizes, food. Starts 6:30 p.m.

Depot Restaurant (520 No. Jeffers) Kick off of Nebraska State Rodeo Association Finals. 7 p.m. Social hour. Cowboy introductions.

Sculley's Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) - Live music featuring Surveying the Damned, Sin/Fixx and EZRA. Cover charge. 9 p.m.


Saturday, Sept. 7

Farmers Market (Parkade Plaza parking lot) - Fresh garden produce, crafters. 7:30 a.m.

Garden Glove (1800 E. 12th) Outdoor market with vendors. 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Cody Park Pool Puppy Olympics. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 13 events for your dog, including the annual drool in the pool, where dogs go for a swim. $1 per event or $10 for all. Lunch available.

Downtown - Col. Cody Car Show and Shine on the bricks. Hundreds of classic cars on display 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Food vendors, snow cones, snacks. Restored car drawing @ 2 p.m. Pedal car raffle. At 4 p.m., participants return to Holiday Inn for dinner, dancing. Dinner open to public with advance ticket purchased by noon Saturday.

Wild West Arena (N. Buffalo Bill Ave.) State Rodeo Association Finals. Rodeo performances start 1 p.m.

A to Z Books - 7-10:30 p.m. Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

Thursday, Sept. 19

Sculley's Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) - Live country music featuring Cody Johnson. 9 p.m. cover.


Friday, Sept. 20

Cody Park Rail Fest begins 4 p.m. Live entertainment by the Stage Dancers, Chuck, Job and Peter, Golden Classics. Dance from 8-10 p.m. to classic rock from Innocent Mischief. (Rail Fest continues through Sunday.)

Cody Park - Movie in the park presenting "The Life of Timothy Green." Starts at dusk (7:45).

Sculley's Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) - Live music featuring Bases Loaded. Starts 9 p.m. Cover charge.


Fri-Sunday, Sept. 20-22

Annual Rail Fest celebration Tours of Bailey Yard. Rides, crafts, live music at Cody Park, Handcar races at Golden Spike visitor's center, Model Train show at National Guard Armory, North Platte Cemetery Tour featuring the life and times of Annie Cook. Special displays at Lincoln County Historical Museum. Starts 4 p.m. Friday and continues to 4 p.m. Sunday.
