Denver J. Lindsey

At around 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to Flying J Travel Center on the report of suspicious activity.

Unknown persona were unloading belongings from a newer Jeep with a Utah license plate. They left the jeep unattended in the parking lot, and then walked out of the truck stop.

The caller said the two were on the east on-ramp of I-80, attempting to hitch hike. The caller reported the Jeep's license plate number and when police checked, they learned it was stolen from North Salt Lake, Utah.

Two men were found on the on-ramp. Police spokesman Rodney Brown said Denver Lindsey, 23, of North Salt Lake was the driver of the Jeep Cherokee and he had a 22-year-old male transient as a passenger.

Officers found probable cause to arrest Lindsey for felony possession of stolen property, and he was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.

The Jeep was taken to the police impound lot. The passenger was not cited and he was released.
