• Downtown Maxwell – Cruise night with music, food and car show. 6 p.m. Everyone welcome.


Friday, Aug. 23

• Hershey Football Field - Outdoor Christian concert featuring Chye. Local Talent and hotdog feed at 7:30 p.m. Concert starts at 8:45. Free will offering. Bring your own lawn chair.


Saturday, Aug. 24

• Farmers Market (Parkade Plaza parking lot) - Fresh produce, crafters, music. 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Garden Glove (1800 E. 12th) – Outdoor Market with local vendors. 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Hershey - Fall Festival. Parade, water fight, meals, bake sales, car show, street dance and much more. Special prices around town on food & drink.

• A to Z Books - 7-10:30 p.m. Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

• Wild West Arena (2300 N. Buffalo Bill) - Monster truck show. 7:30 p.m. Youth $14, Adults $19.

• Lincoln Highway RV Park (4684 West Hwy. 30) - End of the Summer Mega Party featuring Dollarhyde, Jimmy Hooligan, Rukka Puff and more. 8 p.m. $10 in advance, $15 at gate.

• The Depot Restaurant – Dine to the gypsy jazz music by Blue Swing 6-8 p.m.


Sunday, Aug. 25

• St. Patrick's Church BBQ (4th and Chestnut) - noon-3 p.m. $7 adults, $6 seniors. Raffle, silent auction, games, prizes.

• Quality Inn and Suites - Miss Nebraska send-off reception for JaCee Pilkington, who is leaving for the Miss America pageant. She will perform and model her wardrobe. 3-5 p.m. Doors open 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 advance, $18 at door.


Tuesday, Aug. 27

• North Platte Public Library - Author Karen Schutte speaks on German immigration to America. Book signing. Noon-1 p.m. Free event.

• Lincoln County Historical Society (2400 N. Buffalo Bill Ave.) - Author Karen Schutte speaks on German immigration to America. 7-8 p.m.


Wednesday, Aug. 28

• Senior Center (901 East 10th) - Dance to Doug Powers, Roger Anderson, Phil Merrill, Larry Jeffers. 7-9:30 p.m. $4. Bring finger food.


Thursday, Aug. 29

• Sculley's Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) - Live music featuring No Justice. 9 p.m.


Saturday, Aug. 31

Saturday, Sept. 7

• Downtown - Col. Cody Car Show and Shine on the bricks. Hundreds of classic cars on display 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Food vendors, snow cones, snacks. Restored car drawing @ 2 p.m. Pedal car raffle. At 4 p.m., participants return to Holiday Inn for dinner, dancing. Open to public with advance dinner ticket, must purchase ticket by noon Saturday.


Sunday, Sept. 8

• Holiday Inn Express - Col. Cody Car Show and Shine - awards, raffle, 9:30 a.m.-11 p.m.

• Cody Park - Arts in the Park. Arts and Crafts of all kinds on display for sale. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Thursday, Sept. 12

• Neville Center (301 E. 5th St.) - Town Hall Lecture Series featuring Bob Eubanks and Jamie Farr. 10:30 a.m. Series tickets $60 for four lectures.


Friday, Sept. 13

• A to Z Books - 7-10:30 p.m. Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.


Saturday, Sept. 14

• Wellfleet - Wellfleet Fall Festival. Many events. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Food, parade, tractor pull, games, more.
