• Downtown Maxwell – Cruise nights with music, food and car show. 6 p.m. Everyone welcome.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – adult dance lessons. 7-8 p.m. $5 per person.


Friday, Aug. 16

• Lincoln County Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill) - A "lantern tour" for visitors to watch historical scenes of Fort McPherson, 150 years ago. 8-10:30 p.m. $5 admission. Attendance will be limited.

• Recreation Center - Back to school teen dance. 8-10:30 p.m. Middle School and High School students only. $5.

• Custer County Fairgrounds Ag Building #15 (Broken Bow) - Country Music Festival. All air-conditioned. Food available. Trailer space available. $15 hook-up per day. Free admission.


Saturday, Aug. 17

• Farmers Market (Parkade Plaza parking lot) - Fresh produce, crafters, a coffee bar, music. 7:30 a.m.

• Garden Glove (1800 E. 12th) – Outdoor Market with local vendors. 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Eagles Club - Live music by the Gary Phipps Show. 7-11 p.m. $5 admission.

• Lincoln County Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill) – Reenactment of life at Fort McPherson 150 years ago. 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission will be charged.

• Maxwell - Maxwell Heritage Days. Many events around town from 8 a.m.-10 p.m.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (5015 Rodeo Rd) - Auto races. 7 p.m. Tickets $10 adults. Ages 5 and under free.

• Custer County Fairgrounds Ag Building #15 (Broken Bow) - Country Music Festival. All day. All air-conditioned. Food available. Trailer space available. $15 hook-up per day. Free admission.


Sunday, Aug. 18

• Custer County Fairgrounds Ag Building #15 (Broken Bow) - Country Music Festival. Until noon. Food available. Trailer space available. $15 hook-up per day. Free admission.


Tuesday, Aug. 20

• Quality Inn & Suites - Senior festival. Comedy by Bea Funny. Music by Chuck, Job & Peter. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.


Wednesday, Aug. 21

• Senior Center (901 East 10th) - Dance to Ray Mullen. 7-9:30 p.m.

• Hershey Football Field - Outdoor Christian concert featuring Chye. Local Talent and hotdog feed at 7:30 p.m. Concert starts at 8:45. Free will offering. Bring your own lawn chair.

• Lincoln Highway RV Park (4684 West Hwy. 30) - End of the Summer Mega Party featuring Dollarhyde, Jimmy Hooligan, Rukka Puff and more. 8 p.m. $10 in advance, $15 at gate.


Sunday, Aug. 25

• St. Patrick's Church BBQ (4th and Chestnut) - noon-3 p.m. $7 adults, $6 seniors. Raffle, silent auction, games, prizes.

• Quality Inn and Suites - Miss Nebraska send-off reception for JaCee Pilkington, who is leaving for the Miss America pageant. She will perform and model her wardrobe. 3-5 p.m. Doors open 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 advance, $18 at door.
