Volunteers needed at downtown arts centerTell North Platte what you think

The Prairie Arts Center at Fifth and Jeffers in North Platte, is asking for help in preparations for the North Platte Community College art classes that are scheduled to begin at the center this month.

Volunteers are needed for general cleanup and painting from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 12-16.

If you are able to help in the evenings, please contact Cheri Erickson at (308) 539-2469 to confirm.

Ken Hosmer of the Creative Unlimited Arts Council sends his thanks those who have helped in recent weeks.

"All help is very much needed and appreciated,” Hosmer said.

Hosmer said that toilets are now working but volunteers are asked to bring bottled water to drink.
