Palm pled no contest to the charge.

Palm threatened to kill two women on May 26 near Hershey on the bank of the North Platte River. Investigating sheriff’s deputies said there was evidence that Palm’s girlfriend and another woman were verbally assaulted, and Palm also grabbed his girlfriend and threw her to the ground telling her “I could kill you right now.”

Lincoln County District Judge Birch ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Palm also has an August 2012 conviction for domestic assault from Hamilton County as well as three active warrants, one each from Nance County, Buffalo County and Hall County.

Trejo

George Trejo, 35, of North Platte was arraigned in district court Monday on two charges of first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

Trejo allegedly used a machete to attack Richard Cooper and his son, Richard Beck, at Cooper’s home on East 12th St. He was arrested July 3.

Trejo pled not guilty. Defense attorney Robert Lindemeier asked for a jury trial. A date has not been set.

Trejo is said to have cut Cooper on the left side of his face and forehead. Cooper also had a broken bone above his left eye, according to a police report.

At the time, police said Beck suffered cuts on his right hand, right cheek and upper lip, which required stitches. Beck told police he tried to intervene when Trejo attacked his father.
