• Ft. Cody Trading Post (I-80 & US 83) - Live music by Word of Mouth with Porter House. 6-8 p.m. $5, kids under 12 free.

• Lincoln County Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill) – Speaker Marla Matkin speaks on "Frontier Military Posts and the Women Who Called Them Home." 7 p.m. Free admission.


Friday, Aug. 9

• A to Z Books - 7-10:30 p.m. Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.


Saturday, Aug. 10

• Farmers Market (Parkade Plaza parking lot) - Fresh produce, crafters, a coffee bar, music. 7:30 a.m.

• Garden Glove (1800 E. 12th) – Outdoor Market with local vendors. 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Cody Park – Movies in the Park presenting, “The Blind Side.” Starts at dusk (9:16 p.m.)

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (5015 Rodeo Rd) - Auto races. 7 p.m. Tickets $10 adults. Ages 5 and under free.


Wednesday, Aug. 14

• Senior Center (901 East 10th) - Dance to Lou Krause band. 7-9:30 p.m. $4. Bring finger food.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – adult dance lessons. 7-8 p.m. $5 per person.


Thursday, Aug. 15

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – adult dance lessons. 7-8 p.m. $5 per person.


Friday, Aug. 16

• Lincoln County Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill) - A "lantern tour" for visitors to watch historical scenes of Fort McPherson, 150 years ago. 8-10:30 p.m. $5 admission. Attendance will be limited.

• Recreation Center - Back to school teen dance. 8-10:30 p.m. Middle School and High School students only. $5.


Saturday, Aug. 17

• Farmers Market (Parkade Plaza parking lot) - Fresh produce, crafters, a coffee bar, music. 7:30 a.m.

• Garden Glove (1800 E. 12th) – Outdoor Market with local vendors. 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Eagles Club - Live music by the Gary Phipps Show. 7-11 p.m. $5 admission.

• Lincoln County Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill) – Reenactment of life at Fort McPherson 150 years ago. 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission will be charged.

• Maxwell - Maxwell Heritage Days. Various events throughout the day.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (5015 Rodeo Rd) - Auto races. 7 p.m. Tickets $10 adults. Ages 5 and under free.

• Quality Inn and Suites - Miss Nebraska send-off reception for JaCee Pilkington, who is leaving for the Miss America pageant. She will perform and model her wardrobe. 3-5 p.m. Doors open 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 advance, $18 at door.
