At around 6:40 a.m. on Aug. 4, police went to a home in the 500 block of East Second to check on the welfare of Rachel Humphrey, 32, after she called police and said she felt unsafe and was being held against her will. Humphrey's complaint turned out to not be true, but led to her arrest, police spokesman Rodney Brown said.
When officers answered Humphrey's call, they learned she had two active Lincoln County warrants for driving under suspension.
Humphrey was jailed for the warrants.
And, police found more incriminating evidence when they investigated Humphrey. During a traffic stop on April 5, an officer found a glass pipe in Humphrey’s car that tested positive for methamphetamine, and she was charged accordingly.
