Officers respond to fight on bridgeTell North Platte what you think

Two men allegedly had another one down and were kicking and hitting him Saturday on the South Platte River Bridge.

At around 2 p.m. police responded to a report of a man being assaulted by multiple suspects, police spokesman Rodney Brown said.

Upon their arrival a 33-year-old man said that Charles Tully III, 39, and Jordan Fuller, 25, jumped him, got him down and continued to punch and kick him.

Tully and Fuller told police they were mad at the victim because he made an obscene action towards a woman with whom they were traveling.

All of the people involved are transients, Brown said.

Officers determined there was probable cause to arrest Tully and Fuller for third degree assault, a Class I misdemeanor, and took them to jail.
