Chief Deputy Lincoln Count Attorney Tanya Roberts-Connick asked Lincoln County District Judge Richard Birch to sentence Jackson to the pen.

But defense attorney Pat Hays said that the amount of meth that Jackson had was “fractional” and he asked for county jail time.

Lincoln County District Judge Richard Birch agreed with the county attorney.

“Clearly your record is bad, and the amount of drugs wouldn’t change that, because you were already on parole,” Birch told Jackson.

Jackson actually seemed pleased to be going back to the pen. She smiled and gave a thumbs up to someone in the gallery.

Jackson was imprisoned in September 2011 for giving xanax to her teenage daughter, who then passed it on to another teen. At that time, she was on probation for a previous conviction of meth possession.

She was paroled from those charges in November 2012.

Her jail records date back to age 12 and include drugs, alcohol, burglary and domestic abuse.

Boe

Sophia Boe, 27, of North Platte, was sentenced to 360 days in the county jail for tampering with a witness and possession of methamphetamine.

The charges were lowered from robbery and possession of meth with intent to deliver.

Boe received credit for157 days she has already served.

“In view of your extensive record, you should be given extensive time,” Judge Birch told her, “but I am not sending you to the pen this time. Hopefully lengthy time in county jail will do some good.”

Harlow

Warren Harlow, 32, of North Platte, accepted a plea deal from the county attorney and pled no contest to possession of vicadin and methamphetamine. A charge of distribution of morphine was dropped.

Harlow was sentenced to 240 days in the county lockup and received credit for 251 days served. The extra days will go toward court costs.

Harlow’s name popped up in Bulletin stories in 2012 after a family fight landed his daughter Alexis in jail. In July 2012, Alexis conked her dad, Warren, with a glass ashtray. Alexis was sentenced to 27 days and a year of probation for assault.

Warren has an lengthy record, with prior charges of drunken driving, drug possession and probation violations.

Picotte

Cole Picotte, 21, of North Platte, was convicted of attempted sexual assault of a minor. He pled no contest in a plea deal that amended a child sexual assault charge to attempted. In the deal, all county court charges of interfering with a fireman, being a minor in possession and disturbing the peace were dropped.

Birch ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for Sept. 9.

Attempted sexual assault of a child is a class III felony, carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment.
