The Prairie Arts Center downtown at Fifth and Jeffers is asking for help to prepare for the North Platte Community College art classes that are scheduled to begin there in August.

Volunteers have been painting and preparing for two weeks and their efforts continue this week.

Volunteers work from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, July 29-Aug. 2.

If you are able to help in the evenings, please contact Cheri Erickson at (308) 539-2469 to confirm.

“Volunteer hours greatly reduce overall costs and so all help is very much needed and appreciated,” said Ken Hosmer, Prairie Arts Council.

A new elevator, staircase and windows have been installed in the northwest corner of the building.
