Edward Lewis Roney, 32, of Wright County, Mo. took a plea deal Thursday in Lincoln County Court.
Roney was charged with hit and run, possession of controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
In the deal, he pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run), but the other charges were dropped.
And Roney was sentenced to 71 days in jail -- the time he has already served since he was arrested May 14. His license was also suspended for a year and he was ordered to pay $500 restitution to the victim.
But Roney will not walk free. He remains a fugitive from Wright County, Mo. as well as Woodward County, Okla. Prosecutors said he will be sent back to Missouri.
Roney was arrested May 14, after police were called to Casey’s at Rodeo Road and Maple and found that a Honda Pilot had been hit by a Honda Civic that left the scene.
When the registered owner of the Civic was contacted, he said he had sold the car to Roney. Police eventually tracked down Roney in yet another car. Police also found that he had a concealed weapon, a knife and some drugs that turned out to be Lorazepam and Alprazalam.
