Patrick Leahy will talk about Operation Lifesaver -- a nationwide, non-profit public information program dedicated to reducing collisions, injuries and fatalities at highway-rail crossings and on railroad properties.

The panel will also discuss their continuing efforts to increase community awareness of how to shelter in place in the event of a chemical emergency.

The meeting is open to the public with a public comment period from 5:15-5:25 p.m.

LincUP stands for Lincoln County - UPRR Community Advisory Panel. It is a volunteer panel of community members and railroad representatives, which meets monthly to explore health, safety and environmental issues involving the railroad.

If you would like more information about this meeting or are interested in finding out how you can join the LincUP panel, please call Lorre McKeone, LincUP Facilitator, at 308-532-7246.
