The North Platte nine-year-old All Stars traveled to Chadron July 12-13 and captured the "Cal Ripken" League state title for nine-year-olds.

The boys defeated Scottsbluff 12-1 in the title game, and fought for a come-from-behind win in the quarter final game.

Next, North Platte will host the Cal Ripken Regionals July 25-28 at Centennial Park. Eight teams have earned the right to play, including state champions from Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota and Canada.
