Former Husker football star Monte Kratzenstein will speak July 12 at the Gothenburg High School.
Kratzenstein, a three-year letter winner (1987-89) for the Huskers, started in 18 straight games and earned a spot on the all Big-8 honor roll. He taught and coached at Bellevue East and Millard West from 1990-99, then moved to Kearney to work in sales and clinical service for the cardiac medical industry.
Kratzenstein currently works for Nebraska Salt and Grain.
Kratzenstein talk in Gothenburg will help launch fundraising for a Family Life Center for the Crossing Fellowship, a community-building Christian ministry.
An informal dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and Kratzenstein will speak afterwards.
